The Game is helping pet owners reunite with their lost animals after they were evacuated during the Los Angeles fires.
On Monday, January 13, the rapper posted an update for all pet owners in Los Angeles County to his Instagram timeline. He included several photos of dogs, cats and roosters who were left behind after their owners were forced to flee the area.
"Started day 5 on an animal rescue mission & it’s a miracle that some of these animals survived the fires seeing the aftermath of what occurred here," he wrote in his caption.
"Brought food & water in hopes they’d trust the team enough to get them to a nearby shelter where hopefully most of them can be reunited with their owners," he continued. "If you’ve lost a pet (not posted here) or any of these pets in the pictures belong to you, dm one of these amazing humans who’ve been saving these animals day in & day out @cleoscrittercare @angietatts or my boy Joe @wrapcitydetailing & one of them or someone from our team will get you the information to all the animal shelters near or surrounding the Altadena/Pasadena effected areas."
The Game has been actively working to help people in need ever since the fires broke out in his hometown last week. After he and his family were evacuated, the "Hate It Or Love It" rapper took action by donating water, food and other supplies to the victims and first responders. He even helped detail some firetrucks to show appreciation for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
"Waking up these past few mornings & preparing to do whatever I can for my city & to help these guys has been the best part of my week," he wrote under a photo of him with several firefighters. "Los Angeles is an amazing city & together we will restore the city one helping hand at a time. I can’t thank you guys enough for coming from all over the country to help our own firefighter’s & putting your lives on the line for us."
The Game is one of several artists who have contributed their time and money to the ongoing relief mission in Los Angeles. In addition to his efforts, Denzel Curry, Beyoncé, Doja Cat, and other artists have launched initiatives to help victims during their time of need.
