A 13-year-old boy is recovering after a frightening incident at Disneyland in California.
Officials say the boy climbed out of a moving ride vehicle on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure -- formerly Splash Mountain -- and fell down a 50-foot waterfall on the attraction. Witness video shows the boy tumbling down the drop behind a ride vehicle, prompting an immediate shutdown of the ride.
Park staff quickly responded, and the boy was taken to a hospital as a precaution, but he was not seriously hurt and has since been released. State safety inspectors later found no problems with the ride itself, and it has since reopened to guests.
